Central Park Allemande

2026
Acrylic and paper on canvas
24" x 24"

What began as a response to the Allemande from Bach’s Cello Suite II gradually absorbed elements of a Central Park landscape I was working on at the same time.

Abstract painting combining black musical symbols and gestural lines with textured swaths of bright yellow, aqua, and purple-blue. A yellow path moves diagonally upward through darker blue and purple forms, while scraped and layered textures reveal hints of orange and yellow beneath the surface.
