Crete was an amazing place to experience. We were enjoying the water and the gelato.

Orange, red and yellow tones give a clear Mediterranean feel on the buildings that cut across the middle of the painting, closer to the left and further away to the right. A few boats sit in the harbor to the left, their white hulls reflected in the blue-green water. The water is a darker than the cobalt blue sky above. The buildings to the left are largely in shadow as the sunlight brightens the buildings to the right. White canopies stretch across the waterfront while small vertical dashes underneath suggest people walking underneath. White puffs of clouds cross the sky behind the buildings.
