This is the second painting based on my personal history with the Haydn C Major Cello concerto, specifically the first 8 measures.

Music inspired gestures from small stream-like shapes to larger angled shapes move from left to right in bright acyrlics of blues, deep burgundies, yellow-oranges and greens. The dark reds recede to the background while bright blues squares move forward and recede throughout. The texture is created with palette knife and dry brush work on the surface, allowing the paper texture to be seen clearly.
